Sugar Bakeshop has been a proud part of the historic Cannonborough Elliotborough neighborhood in Charleston since 2007.
In July of 2019, Kat Christensen Palmisano - a baker at Sugar for a number of years - took the reins of the shop from founders Bill Bowick & David Bouffard. Kat honed her culinary skills at the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. Previously, she put her boundless energy to use at Two Boroughs Larder here in Charleston and at Coppa and Toro in Boston. Kat and the team is committed to upholding the quality and freshness of Sugar’s tried and true recipes while always exploring new flavor options for the delight and enjoyment of our customers.
